Cambridge Parks & Gardens
This conservation area boasts 10 km of nature trails, including 300m of boardwalk surrounding the natural wetland. The wetland attracts several species of waterfowl, making the spot perfect for birdwatching, especially in the fall. A sandy beach promises plenty of summer fun. In addition, Valens is one of Ontario’s fishing hotspots, boasting pike, bass and panfish.
Step into paradise and stroll among hundreds of free-flying butterflies in a tropical garden. Discover an incredible collection of insects from around the world. Many special events year round. Gift store and cafe on-site. Bus and tour groups welcome.
The Cambridge Sculpture Garden is situated on the banks of the Grand River. The sculptures are found among the trees and shrubs, making for a unique experience.
Soper Park is home to a playground, picnic area, baseball diamonds, tennis court, seasonal outdoor pool and some unique floral displays.
Churchill Park offers a variety of recreational options for all ages. Attractions include an animal viewing area (deer, pheasants and waterfowl), children's playground, splash pad, baseball diamonds, soccer fields, covered picnic area and hiking trails. There is also a small campground on the premises.
